Who are FOLS and what do they do?..
(FOLS)are a team of parent/carers and relatives of children who attend the school. We work alongside the teachers to organise and help in fun fundraising events. Such as: Easter Bingo, Halloween Disco and Christmas /Summer Fetes (to name a few)
Why do we need fundraising?...
As a small school the work we do and the support you show for the events enables us to subsidise (for example) some school outings, cost of coaches to the Christmas pantomime, help towards the cost
of the school bus to take the children to their swimming lessons and anything in addition on the schools wishlist.
When do (FOLS) meet?...
If you are interested in joining the team, our meetings are informal and flexible. We would welcome any fundraising ideas that you have and if you are able to help in anyway this would be greatly appreciated. We have an online messenger group which is a useful tool for immediate communication and updates with event planning. We will also display meeting times/dates and venue on the (FOLS) noticeboard and in the school newsletter, with plenty of notice given where possible.
How do I get involved?...
The current committee members are listed on the (FOLS) noticeboard. Please do not hesitate in asking questions about how you can help, either on the playground/school runs etc.
And finally:
Helping out in any way can be a great opportunity for you to meet the other parents/carers or relatives of children at the school. We appreciate that not everyone has lots of free time to give, it is just what you are a able to offer around busy family/working hours and other commitments.
